"Access starts at the base with the 28-person Funitel. Or board the 110-person cable car. Or start with the Squaw One high-speed quad and then connect to other lifts. Six separate peaks, each with every conceivable exposure, overlook Lake Tahoe.
The Funitel, which carries 15 people seated and 13 standing, replaced Squaw Valley's gondola and follows its course from the base to the Gold Coast facility. The Pulse, a custom gondola, connects the resort's two mid-mountain complexes at High Camp and Gold Coast. It has five cabins that operate with the push of a button. These lifts enable guests to take a mountain tour without putting on skis or a snowboard (of course, skiers and boarders will use them, too). You can ride the cable car to High Camp, the Pulse lift to Gold Coast, then download on the Funitel to the mountain's base.
---Ski Snowboard Web Site
"A ride in the scenic Cable Car is a spectacular and leisurely ride 2,000 vertical feet to the High Camp Bath & Tennis Club. The Cable Car is one of Squaw Valley's most popular year-round attractions and is open to all guests, skiers, snowboarders and walkers.
Once you reach the top, the upper mountain facility features panoramic views as well as access to numerous activities and five restaurants."
Tahoe White Water Tours "Choose from a variety of fun andexciting trips for people of all ages and groups of all sizes. All river trips begin at our boathouse near Tahoe City, Lake Tahoe CA. (Hwy 89). Located adjacent to our boathouse is the Alpine Cafe, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and home style breakfast before your trip. From there, our drivers will bus you to the put-in location of your selected river trip. Once at put-in, one of our experienced guides will lead your group out to experience the scenery and adventure found on the river. Your guide will teach you all you want to know about river safety, rafting and kayak skills, area natural history, Leave No Trace wilderness practices and more."
North Tahoe Limo
No need for you to rent a car or drive if you stay at the Village. A Stretch Limo from Reno airport is very affordable for 4 people and will pick you up at the airport.
Squaw Valley High Camp- "At High Camp, you'll find three restaurants, the Olympic Ice Pavilion and Olympic Heritage Museum, commemorating the 1960 Winter Olympics held at Squaw Valley, the first Games held in the Western United States and the first to be televised.
In winter, you'll find the snowtubing arena here, and it's also the base for night skiing. In warmer weather, there's a swimming pool and Jacuzzi at the High Camp Swimming Lagoon and Spa."
