L4V: How long have you been working in the vacation rentals business?

BBV: Beach & Bayside Vacations is a family owned business and we've been in the BEACH vacation business since 1986. However, we were managing ski condo rentals in Brian Head, Utah since 1972 and in 1986, we also started our Park City rental.

L4V: I noticed that you belong to the San Diego Visitors Bureau what does that mean exactly?

BBV: We have been members of the San Diego Convention And Visitors Bureau since 1987 and we were the the only rental agency which had the official sanction of the Bureau. In other words, any requests made to the Bureau for housing outside of Hotels & Motels were sent exclusively to BBV because of our high standards. We are also members of the San Diego Visitor Information Center.

L4V: Why did you choose San Diego?

BBV: I was born in Chicago and came to San Diego in June of 1962, after completing my masters degree at the University of Wisconsin. I was a Government, History and Economics teacher for the San Diego City Schools for 31 years. All 31 years were at Kearny High School. I also coached tennis and volleyball. My wife, Judy, and I were married in 1960 and we have 2 daughters and 2 sons. Hobbies and recreation include golfing, tennis, skiing, biking, backpacking, hiking, fishing and volleyball.
