The Shipyard Plantation located on Hilton Head Island is an 800-acre sprawling gated golf, tennis and beach resort. The beautifully manicured landscaped grounds and golf courses are situated between Palmetto Dunes on the north and Forest Beach to the south.
The wildlife is plentiful in the plantation including birds, turtles and alligators. There are alligators on the golf courses (but stay away from them). The Shipyard Golf Club has 27 championship quality golf holes, and a wonderful practice facility.
Not only golfing, but fishing can be found right out the door too. The fresh water lagoon across the street offers fishing for large mouth bass.
