Breckenridge Ski Resort, Colorado is four peaks of Colorado’s Ten-Mile range, offering skiers2,350+ acres of snow-packed skiing and 146 trails served by 30 lifts. With the highest chairlift in North America, Breckenridge’s ski school offers students an epic mountain experience with the longest run called "Four O'Clock" stretching an exhilarating 3.5 miles. The skiing is of course major league. Huge mountain, fast lifts, every type of terrain is in abundance.
Be ready for high altitude conditions, this is ego skiing at its best. Celebrate the chill and bring on the invigorating fluffy, white stuff!
If skiing isn't your thing, no problem, Breckenridge is the place for you offering an historic downtown full of dining, interesting shops, nightlife, and some historical museums along main street. There is a free gondola ride from town to the base of Peak 8, which is worth taking just for the scenery, even if you're not skiing. You'll find a lodge at the top where you can get a snack, hot chocolate, or something a little stronger while you watch the snowboarders show off on the terrain park.
Breckenridge is a genuine old west mining town, not one of those "created" ski towns. It has character! Definitely worth visiting!
