If we do not have your favorite dates available, we can only suggest that you make your reservations at your earliest convenience.  We only have 30 weeks of prime summer dates starting on June 21 until August 30.  Wedding parties, family reunions, special birthdays, anniversaries and board meetings book multiple weeks so our availability goes quickly.  We give first preference to any guests who stayed with us this year.  If you did not request the same dates as you reserved this year when you departed, please call us as soon as you receive this letter if you want to return.  If we do not hear from you, your week(s) will be given to the next guests in line on our waiting list.
       Reservations in the summer are on a weekly basis and run from Saturday to Saturday.   We require two night minimums in the Spring and Fall.  All financial arrangements are completed prior to arrival.  The only additional charges are the 8% room and meals tax that goes to the Governor and a 6% service charge.

RESERVATIONS
     Reservations are required.  We do not accept “drop-ins.”  To make a reservation, please call.  We accept all major credit cards.  If you are paying by check, payment must be sent by overnight Courier (FEDEX, UPS NEXT DAY AIR, EXPRESS MAIL).  A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation.  Upon receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation by mailing or emailing to you a confirmation letter and bill for the balance due 60 days prior to your arrival.  If the balance is not received by that date, the reservation will be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded because we will have turned away many other guests.  If fewer than 60 days remain before your arrival, the deposit procedure does not apply.  All that is needed is enough time for us to receive your payment in full.  

CANCELLATIONS
      Because of our limited space, cancellations affect us significantly.  A last-minute cancellation gives us little chance of filling the space due to our remote off-the-road location.
For these reasons, we uphold a strict cancellation policy.  Your funds, less $250 will be happily refunded if cancellation is made AT LEAST 90 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.   After that, no refund is possible regardless of the reason for non-arrival or early departure, unless we are able to re-book the space.  However, you are welcome to send someone else in your place.
   

LINENS AND THINGS
     We supply all sheets, towels, blankets, pillows and bedspreads.  We DO NOT supply cribs, highchairs or beach towels.

PETS
     We love pets but do NOT allow them at THE HERITAGE.  Six barking dogs would ruin our peace and quiet atmosphere.

SMOKING
     For your enjoyment, THE HERITAGE is a NON-SMOKING environment.  Also smoking will increase the chances of forest fires!  It takes a long time to grow 200 year old pine and oak trees.  We want to make sure that we protect the ones we have.

REUNIONS, WEDDINGS, ANNIVERSARIES, AND BOARD MEETINGS
THE HERITAGE is available for private family or corporate gatherings.  Please inquire.
